Word Chunk UN

This is my spelling chunk my spelling chunk was un. Everyone in  LS2 did this spelling activity. I had to look in the dictionary for some words that started with the word un. When I found the words I typed them next to un. These are the words that I found on the dictionary. I really enjoyed doing this spelling chunk it was really fun.

This is my spelling activity. This activity is one of the chunk spelling activity this week LS2's spelling chunk was un. LS2 had to type down words that began with the word un. I really enjoyed doing thing spelling chunk. 

ANZAC Letter

This is my letter if I was in war. Before we wrote the letter we watched some video's. When we were watching the video's we had to write notes and write short phrases in our own words and we had to put them in bullet points. After we watched the video's we looked at this diary from Captain Charlie May. Charlie May's diary was about what they did in war. While I was reading the diary I took notes then I wrote this letter as if I was at war. The notes that I wrote down I added some on to the letter. LS2 were looking at life in the trenches through the eyes of someone who was there. 

Poem for Remembrance Day - ANZAC

Our Learning intention was to find the main idea of a poem. The main idea for this poem was about the soldiers that fought for our country. This poem was about a child who was asking about ANZAC day and the mum was worried for him. This poem was very interesting to me. What I found interesting was that not much soldiers returned home to their families.

E-Ako Maths

This is my maths E-Ako. Today I learnt different strategies and different skills. What I have been practising was place value. I really enjoyed this E-Ako activity because it helps show me which value is                         which number by looking at the ones tens hundreds and thousands.  

Elephant Toothpaste Science Planning House

This is my Science Planning House. This was about elephant tooth paste. Ms Kirkpatrick s friends from edge water college came to PBS their names were Ms Davis and Ms Dudding. Ms Davis started to show us the elephant tooth paste. When Ms Davis showed us she asked all of us if it is a chemical reaction or is it a physical reaction. It was very fun doing the elephant tooth paste. It was very interesting to find out things that I didn't know.

This is my Tech photo. I made a upside down mango cake with Jorja my partner. Jorja and I were working well with each other. Jorja and I helped each other to finish the upside down cake. I really had fun going to Tech. I enjoyed being Jorja's partner for Tech. 

Home Learning - Statue of liberty

This is my learning. My Home learning is about The Statue of Liberty. Jorja and I were really keen to work with each other. What I found interesting was that the Statue of Liberty was sent from France to New York in the United states. I really had fun working with Jorja.

This is my reading Can Do. My reading Can Do is about Super slide or Dangerous slide. What I found interesting was that at china they just built the slide so that the customers pay to go down the slide.

Building a deck

Building a Deck

It was a sunny afternoon when 2 construction workers were building a deck at this wonderful house. The men were cutting up the wood. One construction worker was was cutting up the wood and the other was holding the end bit so that it doesn't  flip up. They only had one more piece of wood left to cut up. Then the wood was done and dusted.

When the wood was finished being cut up the other construction workers were setting up the bottom part for the deck. When they were finished the two men  were placing the wood on top of the bottom part of the deck. While they were still placing it the other two men were cutting up some more wood because they didn't have enough.

The 3 workers were finally placing and gluing the nails onto  the woods, they were still placing  and gluing the nails onto the woods. All the workers were very pleased of what they had done and what they have achieved.  When they were done they had made it to the colour black. When the deck was dried it came out as  a very smooth deck. The deck was finally done and dusted. The workers were very happy and excited for the people that lived their to come and see the beautiful deck.

E-Ako maths

This is my maths E-Ako. My maths E-Ako taught me different strategies. What I found interesting was that you can use different strategies instead of just using one strategy time to time. What I really liked was doing the new activity's and learning them all and getting them right. I had fun with E-Ako maths.

Current event - one point of view

This is my current event DLO. My role was the bus driver and my partner Jorja was the bus driver's boss. I as the bus driver had to write something to my boss. When Jorja and I were working together it took a long time to figure out what to write. Jorja and I were trying to type something but it took time. Jorja and I were working very well with each other. When we finished our DLO we had to put it up on our blog and we did. What I didn't know was bus driver's go on strike. Jorja and I really enjoyed this current event.  

Current events - Auckland bus strike

This is my current event about Auckland bus strike. Mia and I were working with each other very well we managed to finish this before lunch time. LS2 were using the 5 W's [ who what when why where] and we also added 2 points of view from the article. It was very interesting to see what is happening in NZ. This event happened on the 19 of February 4am  till the 20th of February 4am which was 24 hours. It was really great working with Mia.

Making connections to back in my days

This is my reading follow up. our learning intention was to make comparisons between a text and our own lifes. It was very interesting to read a book that is called back in my day. I really had fun doing this activity.

Place value

This is what I did for maths for maths we were learning place values I had to try make ten I answered all of them and then I got it all right. I really had fun.

It was a sunny afternoon when nobody visited the wonderful lake. The wonderful lake was very quite and it was very peaceful and it was very surprising. The water was making little wonderful waves.

Pumpkin story

The pumpkin story

It was a day after school when James wanted to make pumpkin soup. James asked dad if they could make pumpkin soup and dad said yes. James was so excited to go and plant the pumpkin seed. Finally it came to the part  when James and dad went to go and long  time. James needed to wait for it to flower then he had to wait for it to grow into a pumpkin. Finally Dad plant the pumpkin seeds.  

Dad turned over the soil so that James can plant the seeds. The seeds were in. James couldn't wait so then he went back inside the house. It took for a long time to flower. James needed to wait for a told James that the James were having fun making the pumpkin soup.Finally the pumpkin soup was done and dusted.  Finally it was ready to be pulled out of the garden.

finally the pumpkin flowered and James was very happy and excited to make pumpkin soup. James got the pumpkin and took it inside to make  pumpkin soup. Dad and having the pumpkin soup at home. .

An embarrassing experience

An embarrassing experience

This morning my cousin and I went to the dairy. It was embarrassing because I was wearing my pyjamas and people were staring at me. I was so embarrassed that I went like that to the dairy, just because I was too lazy to get dressed. I really hated how people were staring at me. From what happened today I have learnt to never go in public wearing your pyjamas.

                         Today I enjoyed doing writing. This is probably the best writing I've ever done.

It was the afternoon when the gorilla was really angry that her hat got blown of her head and her nostrils went big. When the gorilla was angry her flowers popped out of her scarf. As she was angry two dogs were chasing each other.

This is my tech photo. At tech we made yummy delicious fruit salads. Javeylor, Mya and I were working as a team to make the delicious. When we finished cleaning up we finally got to eat our fruit salads it was very delicious.
