LI: Formula for finding a percentage using a calculator. 

On this DLO it shows how we worked out the answers. This was a bit hard but we managed to finish. I worked with Eric and Nazella. We worked really hard.

E-ako maths

Today I did e-ako maths. For e-ako maths I had mixed subjects. I had to solve out the problem. I used addition, and division to solve my problems more easier. E-ako is the best site to learn your maths because its a much fun way to learn. 

World of Maths

Yesterday LS2 and LS1 went to the hall after lunch for World of maths. We were all put into groups so that we can work together and help each other out. Alice, Nazella, Sakina, Mishaan, and I worked collaboratively to solve the problem. Which way home was my favorite because all worked together and we used addition because our instructions were to add all the numbers. I had so much fun. Thank you Charles. 

     

Decimal numbers

We had maths for the middle block. In Ms Kirkpatrick's group we were learning about decimals. We had eight questions to answer and if we got one wrong we had to stay on the mat and do another eight. After we had decimal questions with Ms Kirkpatrick we all played a decimal number game. This game is really fun. Maybe you should play it too. 

Eako

Today my main focus for eako was Place Value.  I had fun learning my place values on eako maths. Eako maths is fun to use. I really enjoyed it.

Maths

Today I played fruit splat. Fruit splat is a game that shows you the greatest common factor. When I was playing this game I didn't know what to do because it was my first time. Fruit splat is a fun site. I really enjoyed playing this game about the greatest common factor. 

Eako

Today I did eako maths. Today I was learning about fractions. I had to drag these images to its right places. Using eako is much more fun because it is a digital learning site. I had fun using eako maths because I learn more and it is a online.

E- ako maths

Today I was learning my fractions by using eako maths. I use eako maths to learn because it is way better to use and it is a much more fun way. Use eako maths because it is a much more fun way to learn your maths. I really like using eako maths so I know that you will too.

Paper planes

This week and last for maths, LS2 students have been working collaboratively on a flight challenge. We had to read and follow the instruction really carefully that was showing on the T.V. Today we got into our groups and trialed each of our planes too see which plane can fly the furthest. In my group(Victoria,Mishaan,Manu,Nesi and I) we found out that Victoria's plane fly's the furthest. Then we all made a a plane that was going to look like what we wanted it to look like. Instead we looked in this book about planes and found one which was named the baby duck, it was really hard but we carried on but then we ran out of time and justed used Victoria's plane. It was time to do the challenge. Victoria had to challenge Zahn, Tai, Thomas, Shannon, Gozan and Aj. The challenge was done. Thomas came first, Tai came second and Zahn came third. This was a fun maths activity to be doing. 

Paper planes project

Yesterday we have started something new. Mrs Anderson has created a maths challenge. We have been trialing and making planes. This challenge was very interesting and it was very fun because everyone participated and made a plane. This was a silent challenge because Mrs Anderson wasn't talking to us in that session. Instead of Mrs Anderson talking she showed us a google slide about what we are going to do. It was really fun.

Quizizz

 

Today for maths LS2 and Mrs Anderson  Tiare, Javeylor and I were working together to answer all the questions correctly. LS2 were challenging our teacher Mrs Anderson, we were working together to try past Mrs Anderson, Mrs Anderson came first, she won the challenge. Playing quizizz is a faster and more fun way to learn your basic facts and multiplication. I really enjoyed playing quizizz with the whole class it was very fun. 

Decimals

 Today for maths we were learning how to recognize decimals and how to order decimals. We were recognizing decimals by using fractions to help us. ( e.g : 0.8 would be 8/10 in a fraction ) We practiced ordering decimals on a online worksheet which we had to read the question and solve it out in our maths book. I was also learning the places for the decimals. I really like learning about decimals because it can help me with my fractions.

Maths games

These screenshots are showing how many scores I got after I played the maths activities. I have been practicing addition facts and ordering numbers. I had to practice addition facts and ordering numbers because i needed to get better so that I can achieve more on my Ikan test. This helped me a lot on my Ikan test.  I had fun playing these activities.

Blog Post Data Analysis

Today for maths I did a graph of how many blog posts do I do every month. In March I didn't do that much blogging because  I was still learning how to blog. In April I did a lot of blogging's because I had more work to be put on my blog. May I had friends and I will always get distracted that why I only had little blog post. 

Transum, Fast Factors,

Today for maths I was playing fast factors. I was learning my 7x timetables. I played this game because it helps me learn my 7x timetables. In maths I learnt a faster way to figure out the answer for my other timetables.

E-Ako maths

Today I have done my e-ako maths. For my e-ako maths I had to answer questions and solve them. I took a screenshot of this is because it was a little difficult to solve.  

Arrays

This is my maths.  Today my maths group had to a DLO about what our time tables would look like. I really liked doing this DLO because it show other people that I understand. It was really great doing maths today.

This is my maths e-ako. This e-ako maths was called place value. When i was doing my maths e-ako i learnt different ways to solve any questions. This was one of the maths e-ako screenshots that I wanted up on my blog. I really liked doing this activity and I really like working on this e-ako.

This is my maths E-Ako. Today I learnt different strategies and different skills. What I have been practising was place value. I really enjoyed this E-Ako activity because it helps show me which value is                         which number by looking at the ones tens hundreds and thousands.

This is my maths E-Ako. My maths E-Ako taught me different strategies. What I found interesting was that you can use different strategies instead of just using one strategy time to time. What I really liked was doing the new activity's and learning them all and getting them right. I had fun with E-Ako maths.
