For the past few weeks we have been generating questions about volcanoes. Tiare and I have been using the skills that Mrs Ogilvie taught us. In our slide show will have questions that Tiare and I have been thinking about. We have found some interesting facts that we didn't know, for example, lava moves very slow but it burns fences and most metal things. Tiare and I chose this subject because we wanted to know more facts about Volcanoes.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2. My teacher's is Mrs Anderson, and Ms Kirkpatrick.

3D sketching
Today for tech the yr 7's were doing 3D sketching at Tamaki College with Miss Ferguson. The yr 7's have been drawing 3D boxes, circles and triangles. We have been drawing boxes because it was a lot easier. We have been focusing on our 1 point perspective-vanishing point. We have been using isometric lines and we have been coloring in our boxes in different kinds of shadings which is named 3 tones. I really had fun sketching 3D boxes. Thank you Miss Ferguson.

How do birds fly?
For the past few weeks I have been learning about the godwits for inquiry. This DLO shows how do birds fly, shows 3 important things before they fly off to Alaska. Godwits always stuff themselves before they fly to Africa, the only reason why they stuff themselves is because they burn half of their weight. It was interesting to find a lot of information about godwits. Mishaan and I tried our best to complete this DLO about how do birds fly.

Mrs Ogilvie comes to PBS
Today Mrs Ogilvie came to Panmure bridge school and talked to some of the students in LS2 about smart searching. My buddy Nazella was showing me what they were doing with Mrs Ogilvie. Nazella showed me a site named Britannica and Kids Infobitz. First Nazella showed me Britannica, once I went on the site I was thinking about what I want to look for. I searched up Tonga, it showed a short paragraph but it came with interesting facts about the capital of Tonga which is Nukualofa. After that we went on to Kids Infobitz, it is a little bit the same as Britannica. I was surprised of what I saw. I saw heaps of interesting facts. Thank you Mrs Ogilvie for coming to Panmure bridge school. We would love to have you back.
Rhythm Interactive
Today we had rhythm interactive with Johnny and Lucy. In the beginning when we started they did not introduce themselves because actions are more powerful than words. PBS really enjoyed rhythm interactive with Lucy and Johnny. I really enjoyed it because you can express your emotions. I learnt that everywhere around the drums is higher and lower. Thank you Lucy and Johnny for coming to PBS.

Role Models
Today the year 7's were learning about us being a leader next year. The yr 7's were explaining what we are going to do when we become a leader. I have learnt that you dont need to be perfect because nobody is perfect. Being a leader means helping others, being responsible. I enjoyed making this word cloud. It was very interesting to listen to other people explaining who they know as a good role model.
